Sale & Dispensing Prescription Medicated Feed
Health Canada have released a new fact sheet explaining the regulatory requirements around the sale and distribution of prescription medicated feed in Canada. While the fact sheet is designed for commercial feed mills, it may provide veterinarians, farmed animal owners, and other stakeholders with insight into how prescription medicated feed will be managed beyond December 1st, 2018.
The Animal Nutrition Association of Canada have also prepared a similar set of fact sheets outlining the sale and distribution of prescription medicated feed. These fact sheets provide useful flow charts to demonstrate how prescriptions and feed must flow.
